Helping Hand
1 in 7 U.S. kids are affected with developmental disabilities; that is 15% of U.S. children. One of the most common issues families face is obtaining supplies children need to function on a daily basis, and furthermore survive. Many of these items are not covered by health insurance. Things such as, bath chairs, lifts, or even diapers are considered “items of convenience.” Lifesaving commodities such as end-tidal monitors, pulse odometers, external formula, even oxygen and catheters have been denied. Walkers and standers are sometimes deemed unnecessary. Home and vehicle modifications and transportation are considered luxuries!
That is why with the “Helping Hand” program, our goal is to provide children with medical equipment and supplies not covered by Health Insurance.
Brighter Futures
“Time” is one of the most valuable assets for families with children with disabilities. Through our partnerships with special needs caretakers, we are able to provide home help to families, which in return will help free up time. Not only that, but the experience the children have interacting with a new person helps build their developmental skills.
That is why with the “Brighter Futures” program, our goal is to provide families with children with disabilities caretakers to help free up “time”.
